This Two Row Houses was designed by Metaform. house contemporary architecture project belonging to Luxembourg located in the village of Goeblange, southern Luxembourg. According to the architects, “the complex construction is based on a traditional frame with rafters and sheathing and a metal construction that is used to attach the fiber cement roofing panels. The circulation space and the way the house has been divided starts with the glass slab on the first floor. It helps light penetrate from skylights down to the entrance in the ground floor. Thus the disadvantage of an unfavorable luminosity due to the significant depth of 15m construction is removed. The house is flooded with these skylights that are beaming from underneath in the evening and consequently avoids the use of prominent luminaries. A large glass aperture (10×3m) characterizes the interest brought to the outside light and landscape and tries to remove the physical boundaries of the house.” With a contemporary and minimalist design, floor to ceiling windows and access to a lovely green yard with pond, this place is captivating to say the least.

This house has a very unusual shape located in Horinouchi. The house was a project designed by Japanese studio Mizuishi Architect Atelier. This cute little house features large windows and functionally divided space. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and the interior design is simple as not to make it seem smaller than it already is. The residence is a two-storey home and t was built for a family of three. It covers 595 square feet of property and it sits on a triangular lot situated between a river and a road in Suginami, one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. Because of the unusual shape of the lot, the house had to modify the typical design and adapt it to the conditions available. This meant that the house had to be very narrow. In order to compensate with that, a second floor was added to make room for extra space.

This Mishima small house family created with the help of Keiji Ashizawa Design, project architects Keiji Ashizawa and Chino YamaguchiÅ and structural engineer ÅFASA Akira Suzuki. The house was completed in 2010.  main idea behind this project was to create a residence that would offer privacy to its inhabitants and that would also integrate in the surroundings. The location of the rooms has been carefully chosen so that they would benefit from the maximum potential of the sunlight. there had to be a functional positioning of the rooms. The private areas of the house such as the bedrooms and bathrooms have been placed on the first and second floor, thus increasing the privacy level. The third floor has very high ceilings and large windows so it was easy to see that this space could be a perfect location for the public areas such as the living room. As for the structure, the house has a steel frame that helped keep the budget to a minimum and also allowed for ample space. Overall, this a private modern home situated in the hearth of Tokyo that managed to provide the owners with their dream family home.
